Andi, Hoppy and Leanne are the tattoo artists and piercers at Gecko Images. On this page you will find links to the artists galleries. | Tattooing was all Andi ever really wanted to do… She has been tattooing since the late 70’s when life was a lot harder for the female tattoo artist than today and has seen the crazes come and go and come back again. Tattooing today offers so much more to the customer and greater satisfaction for the artist. Andi doesn’t specialise in any particular style as she likes all styles. She likes the challenge of custom work but is happy to do the smallest of small when called upon. Andi has worked in the USA as a guest artist and also guest spotted at a well known Studio in Kent. |
Andi's others interests, when she has the time, are her dogs and her motorbikes. She also sculpts in her spare time and makes pottery to help keep her sane. As well as sculpting and making pottery she is also into hand pin striping and fibreglass moulding. Andi has also won several awards for her tattooing ability over the years. | Hoppy has been in the Tattoo Industry for about 9 years, firstly as Andi's trainee before moving on to a studio in Sunderland. From there Hoppy and Andi opened Gecko Images in Easington Colliery in 2002. Hoppy's favourite tattoos styles are grey work and blending as well as fantasy work. As well as being a tattoo artist Hoppy is also a skilled piercer, a skill he began 7 years ago and continues to perform to this day, gaining a wide knowledge of numerous piercings ranging from the simple to the exotic along the way. |
Over the years Hoppy has worked in the USA; tattooing at studios in Savanna, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina where he greatly enjoyed his time working and improving his artwork. Hoppy has also been asked to work at several other studios throughtout the USA. Hoppy has won several awards for his grey work and blending. Please view Hoppy's Gallery to see a selection of quality tattoos created by Hoppy. |
